Lumbini Heritage

It is perhaps the only true upscale hotel in Lumbini, not too far from the development area, on the main road to/from the airport. The room was large and the bed comfortable, but the sheets were old and rough.Staff are friendly but they will not assist beyond getting a taxi. The restaurant is large but it is a shame that they do not restock very often. When you order from the menu, many things are not available and some may not have ever been served. I don't mind them not having some of the cocktails but I am referring to simple things like beer or coffee. Also, in the restaurant always ask if food is spicy. Even dishes that are not spicy anywhere else in the world, are served with chilli unless you asked them not to add it. Given the size of the hotel and the facilities it could have, we left with a sense of a lost opportunity for the hotel, and in a way for all of Lumbini.

The hotel itself, the building, got very huge potential. It seems like a 4, maybe even 5 star hotel if you approach it! On the reception the staff was dressed in everyday clothes, a point you wouldn't expect in such a hotel. No one introduced me to the hotel, like the WiFi, the breakfast, the swimming pool... The room itself was also nice, but some of the lamps were not working, there was no fridge, no safe. The smoke detector was still covered with it's packaging, the sprinklers were still locked. The view from the room was not impressive. You looked at a dirty roof with a empty beer bottle. And the bathroom had 2 doors, one was leading to the backside of the sink. The restaurant manager was very polite and tried to offer us everything he had, which was not... much. Very expensive buffet with food that was definitely not the best quality (had some stomachs issues afterwards). The staff can't do anything about it, it's clearly the management that's need to be replaced. This could be the top hotel in Lumbini. After one night, we switched to another hotel. In the lobby were a lot of mosquitos. It seems that nobody from the management cares what's happening to this hotel.

Before going to hotel, we called them and told them that today we would check in as we booked a room in their hotel 2 months ago and also already paid. But then, they tell me that they are fully booked and they dont have any room for us. Even though we booked two months ago and already paid the full amount. After getting angry at them, then they say, they will arrange a room for us. When we go there to check in, the reception said the same thing that they are fully booked and they cannot give us any room. They agreed that they see our booking in their system but they told me that they forgot to wrote our booking down and gave our room to someone else. It was awful. And then when I told them that I would call police on them for cheating on us, they give us a room. And then next day, one of their staff came to me apologizing for this and told us that they would give us complimentary dinner and when we were checking out they brought us a bill for the dinner!!!! And the staff was super rude to us. Never saw such a bad service. Another thing: we asked them about breakfast one night before as we had to leave next morning somewhere early. they said that there will be a buffet starting from 6 to 9.30. we told them specifically that we would come down at 8 as we have to leave at 8.30. when we came down they tell us that there is no buffet and then we found that they were lying to us. there was buffet but it was finished earlier as there was a big group and they did not feel the need to renew it just for two of us even though we were on time and told them one day before!! Very bad service. Literally gave us headaches!! I would highly recommend "Buddha Maya Gardens Resort, Lumbini Hotel" instead of this hotel. We went there afterwards and it was amazing and beautiful, with amazing service

Quite a nice design and a space. Rooms are spacious and the dining room has space for all kinds of guests. However, the whole stay was a horrible experience. I haven't seen a single 5 star standards in this hotel. Not even a three star. There are massive structural damage, I could see an inch of the concrete through the crack in the dining room. The frame of the room door was completely cracked. Lobby carpets were coming out. The bath room door railing was rusted and the rust was falling off. We could not move the door to close it. It always stayed 2 inches open. The bidet pressure wasn't controlled. The carpets were dusty, curtain had stains. Most horrifying thing I saw was the bedding. I myself is a hotelier and for the first time in my life I saw a duet covered by two bedsheets. The duet was stained and sheets were dusty. Had to call in the middle of the night and asked them to put a proper cover. The sheets smelt like they were kept inside a cupboard for a month and wasn't aired. It was terrible. I believe the hotel is heavily understaffed and the staff is trying their best but taken the size of the place, that must be an impossible task. Still, the gusts must not be put through such experiences. if some attention is not given, this beautiful property will not stand for long.

Great location,really pleasant and clean rooms,all the staff are very helpful and polite.the best part is that the hotel is near by from lumbini,and the food was so delicious.we really enjoyed indian food .if you are visiting lumbini you can choose pawan palace ...

Probably the best hotel in lumbini, spacious room with impressive service and the staffs are really friendly and helpful, and the food in the restaurant was way delicious, i recommend everyone to visit this hotel most if you're traveling to lumbini!!!!
